Texas is the second largest state in the United States, located in the middle south region of the United States and has many different large and small cities, the most prominent of which is the city of Houston.

Texas is an important transport hub of the country. Texas is home to the second largest area and the highest number of residents over 50 states across the United States, with more than 696,000 km2 and an impressive 26.1 million inhabitants.

In terms of transportation, Texas completely impressed with the United States's largest road and rail system, and Texas owned 730 airports and more than 1,150 ports across the state. With great advantages, Texas is known as Paradise of immigrants.

Texas has three big bustling cities: Houston, Dallas, San Antonio.

Weather

Along the coast, the climate is milder without too much big differences on temperature. The region has a humid tropical climate, in the more temperate coastal areas and a temperature difference between day and night are not too big. In the summer, the heat covered all over Texas state, peaking up to 32 celsius degrees. For Vietnamese-Americans living in Texas, winter is the most pleasant time of the year. Texas is located at the intersection of many climates, creating a variety suitable for many different places. The region has a humid tropical climate, in the coastal areas, climate is milder and there is only a very small difference between day and night temperatures.

Economy

This is the leading state in the United States in many industries from economics, electronics, agriculture to biomedical sciences and aerospace, and is the champion of export turnover for nearly 20 years.

Texas is also famous for its strong investment in education in general and the university system in particular. There are over 1000 school districts with many schools reaching the top quality universities in the United States.

Texas economy is very strong, has abundant natural resources suitable for development of oil and gas, cotton and livestock industries.

In 2010, Site Selection Magazine ranked Texas as the nation's most friendly business state. Texas also has headquarters of high-tech companies such as Dell, Inc., Kimberly Clark, AT&T, etc. Texas' strong economy is evident as the state's leader in number of companies which entered the top Fortune 500 - ranking of 500 largest companies in the United States. Known as a low-tax, low-cost service, Texas is one of seven states with no state income tax in the United States.

Texas has the second largest Vietnamese population in the United States. With reasonable living costs, cheap housing prices and thousands of job opportunities from economic development, Texas easily attracts thousands of immigrants, especially the Vietnamese community.
